Mission
MusiCare (Vienna) is committed to promoting the well-being of patients and staff through the power of music.
The ensemble consists of professional musicians and music therapists. Performances take place on the wards or in the rooms of healthcare facilities and are organized in consultation with the medical staff.
Before each performance, the patients are invited to participate in a conversation to provide the ensemble with personal input in the form of wishes, thoughts, images, feelings, etc. This information is then incorporated into person-centered improvisations or repertoire pieces.
In addition, there is an offer of a musical intermezzo for the nursing staff to lighten up their daily work routine.
