Unser Vereinsmitglied Maria Gstättner ist Fagottistin, Performerin und Komponistin, die an die heilende Kraft der Musik glaubt. Seit Jahren besucht sie mit Kolleginnen Krankenhäuser, um auf die Wünsche der Patientinnen und Patienten einzugehen.
Im Rahmen des Festivals "Brücken" traten sie unter dem Titel "Hearing you" im LKH Mürzzuschlag auf.
MusiCare aims to promote the well-being of patients and caregivers in medical facilities through person-centered music making.
Taking into account the individual wishes of patients and nursing staff, professional musicians and music therapists make music directly on the wards and at the bedside.

A short film with live recordings of the ward visits and the voices of those involved conveys the atmosphere that the “Music on the Ward” project created in the hospital.
The innovative person-centered music-making in hospitals was investigated in the international research project "ProMiMiC / Music on the Ward" at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in cooperation with the University Clinic for Radiooncology at the Vienna General Hospital AKH.
